How to Spontaneously Impress Your Partner Without Breaking the Bank

By

In every relationship, there are times when people want to do something to show their affection for a loved one. Perhaps there is a feeling that things have gone a little flat, or sometimes it might be a case of bridge building after an intense argument.

Whatever the reason or occasion, there are many things that can be done that don’t have to break the bank. The temptation at times like this is often to spend as much as you can, but not everything great results in spending a fortune.

We looked at some great ideas for impressing a partner that won’t have you turning to Wonga.com at the end of the month.

A Fireworks Display

Not everyone will admit it, but we all have a soft spot for a fireworks display. If nothing else, it is a bit of an unusual thing to do for a loved one so definitely has the novelty factor. You could always go for red coloured fireworks that replicate flowers when they explode, too, to prove that you have a more thoughtful side and don’t simply turn to a bunch of roses and box of Ferrero Rocher every time you’re looking to brighten up your relationship.

Run Away

Okay, do admittedly we’re not literally saying ‘run away,’ but using a service like Secret Hotel you will easily be able to find a cheap weekend in a great location. Just pick up some supplies and lock yourselves in a hotel room for the weekend, or if you can find a place with spa facilities, even better.

These are most fun when you blindfold a partner and put them in the car, although it might be difficult to do if you are making amends after a fight.

Invite People Round

Sometimes, our loved ones might be feeling a little down because they haven’t seen their friends or family in a little while. Often, partners will argue because they perhaps don’t get along with each other’s friends too well.

Why not take the initiative and invite your partners’ best friends over for the evening or weekend? Of course, the point here is that you hang around, too, it doesn’t work if you’re only doing it to get an excuse to disappear out yourself!

Whether you have had a fight or are just looking to cheer your partner up, there are many small, non-expensive ideas you can use in order to make things better again. Consider these ideas and come up with some of your own next time you are looking to find an extra spark in your relationship.
