However, who says your love is not pure at heart. If you want to wear white, go for it! The rules are out the window now, and a second-time bride is free to wear whatever she desires on her special day.

To wear a veil, or not to wear a veil…

If you are a bride that has been married before or have children you are not supposed to wear a veil or have a train attached to your wedding gown .—DEBUNKED! Again, the veil is supposed to be a symbol of purity and protection for the bride. Why can’t a second-time around bride have these same accessories at her wedding? Well, truth is, they can. There is nothing stopping you from wearing a stunning veil. Many traditional brides are thrilled to hear this. Also, the train is simply a part of the wedding dress. Choosing a dress that has no train for etiquettes sake is no longer expected. Wear what you want to wear!

Who pays for a second wedding..?

As a second-time bride, all the weddings are up to you and your groom only—DEBUNKED! In the past, it was considered proper etiquette for the parents of the bride to pay for the first wedding, and also considered poor form for the same when it comes to the second wedding. Nowadays, with so many couples on a tight budget, veer from this silly myth and don’t be afraid to ask your family for financial help. They will understand and no doubt not hesitate to help. Second marriages are just as expensive as the first, and although the couple themselves will contribute as much as they can, it is not always feasible that they can afford the entire affair.
