6 Tips For Those Planning A Beach Wedding

By

Many couples are under the impression that beach weddings are actually easier to plan than a traditional wedding; however, this is not true in all cases. There are lots of things that can go wrong and you need to be prepared. When choosing decorations for your beach wedding, it is so important to consider things like the wind, heat, sand, and climate. All of these factors can have a huge impact on how your beach wedding plays out. Below are some tips to keep in mind so that you won’t have to worry about your beach watching washing out to sea.beach wedding

Tip 1: Gather or buy heavy shells to hold down things like the aisle runner. You never know when the wind will kick up and it will go flying.  If you don’t secure the runner, it could ruin the ceremony.

Tip 2: If you plan an evening beach wedding and decide to use torches as the lighting, make sure the torches are located a safe distance away from anything flammable. Nobody wants a fire on their wedding day! Also, make sure and buy quality torches. The cheaper ones don’t tend to last as long and also tend to easily catch on fire.

Tip 3: Always have a tent as a backup in case of rain. Quality tents are super affordable and easily available. It is better to be safe than sorry and you and your guests are guaranteed to stay dry.

Tip 4: Think about investing in a tarp to shield you from unexpected gusts in case the day is very windy. This will ensure that the guests will not get sand in their eyes, hair and in their meal. If possible fin a tarp that is complimentary to your wedding colors. Just because it is a useful item doesn’t mean it can’t be part of the décor.

Tip 5: Everyone knows that beach weddings held during the day can be very hot. It is a great idea to provide hand-held fans for each guest. It will keep them cool from the heat and can be decorative as well—even double as a favor.

Tip 6: Always have an air conditioned area that guests can go to in case the climate is too much for some. Think of the elderly that may not be able to handle the heat and humidity, even with a fan. The comfort of your guests is so important, not to mention the safety.
