Themed Weddings – Joy Or Disaster?

By

As 2013 begins, many people enter the New Year betrothed to another. This is a very popular time for couples to become engaged. But once the nice fuzzy feeling of becoming engaged is over, and the congratulations messages fade away, the time arrives to start planning the wedding.

In this day and age, this is no mean feat. Couple tough economic times with the desire to have a stand out wedding and someone will end up unhappy, whether that is the bank manager or the bride!  Planning a wedding can easily become one of the most stressful things in a prospective bride and groom’s life. However, why not be original and do something different?  happy bride

On the face of it, a themed wedding can seem like a bride’s nightmare. Every bride and, to some extent, groom wants a day to remember – and in an ideal world would want it to be on a par with Kate and William’s Royal Wedding extravaganza. However, for those on more modest budget, they should consider making their wedding as original as possible. For the sensible bride and groom, this needs to be weighed against financial factors.

A themed wedding is something which can be done well on a budget. For example, those wishing to go for a Bollywood themed wedding can do so quite cost-effectively. Careful planning can ensure that the right venue, DJ and other factors are brought into play. Authentic features such as dress styles, table and venue dressings, music and other traditional features can be adhered to and can really make it a special day.

Other types of themes can lend themselves to good venues. For example a beach wedding is a great way to have an outdoor wedding in the sunshine. It can be a chilled out, beach club style affair which again can be planned within a moderate budget. This is also a great option for brides and grooms when considering their guests.

Often weddings can be an expensive affair for not only the bride and groom, but for the guests involved too. By having a beach wedding, a bride and groom can ensure that their guests have a good holiday too. What better way to celebrate the start of married life than to be abroad with friends and family.

Of course smaller weddings are also popular, and sometimes low key weddings can be the best and most laid back. There will also always be the bride and groom who will want the big lavish, traditional affairs. However, for those somewhere in the middle, who want to make sure that their day stands out from the rest, a themed wedding can be a fantastic solution.
