5 Ways To Create A Wedding No One Will Ever Forget

By

Most bride and grooms tend to remember their own wedding days (and if they don’t they’re probably in a lot of trouble right now) but don’t you want everyone who attends your big day to remember it for the rest of their lives? You’re only planning on doing this the once right? So why not make it a showpiece extravaganza that is sure to go down in history.

Although some people may still prefer the traditional style wedding, it is becoming more and more popular to go all out these days to make your wedding day stand out from the rest. As we’ve already established, this is going to be the one and only time you tie the knot and you’ve probably been saving for a while, so here are a few ways that you can blow that wedding budget and really create a day that will be talked about forever.

The Venue – Second only to the dress, this is probably the most important part of your day. You will surely be looking for somewhere that has that wow factor that will keep your guests’ jaws on the floor throughout the whole day. Castles and stately homes are sure to be top of your wish list but a little thinking outside the box may be in order here. Stand-alone lighthouses, hidden caves in picturesque seascapes and the viewing tunnel at an aquarium could all fit the bill perfectly.

The Entrance – Everybody knows that it is the brides prerogative it arrive fashionably late on her wedding day and the best way to do this without anyone getting agitated is to do it in style. If you turn up in a helicopter, by parachute or on the back a white elephant people will soon forget how long they’ve been waiting and all eyes will be firmly on you.

The Attire – For a bride, it is all about the dress and making sure you find one that is both perfect and unique. The best way of finding one that no one will see anywhere else is to get it designed for you personally. Dress makers will obviously charge you more to make a personalised dress but this way you will know it is definitely one of a kind. Even just taking an already existing dress and making alterations will make it feel a bit more unique.

Let’s not forget about the men either. Contrary to what any bride will tell you, the suit hire is just as important as the dress. You could even take it one step further and organise multiple outfits to change into throughout the day.

The Invitations – If you are planning a wedding then it all starts to get real once the invitations are sent out. And as this is the first clue about your wedding that your guests will get, you need to make a good impression. Traditional invites are great but if you really want to get people talking about your big day then you need to make them a little bit different to the norm.

Video invites are fun and allow you to add a personal touch to each one if you wish. Other great ideas include message in a bottle style invites and a scratch and see save the dates.

The Memories – When it’s all said and done and you are off on your honeymoon and enjoying your life together, what’s left for you and your guests will be the memories. Therefore you need to make sure you create a few lasting ones that you can look back on forever. Lots of couples like to do this by making a wedding video but hiring a stranger to essentially gate-crash your day may not be something you’re too keen on.

Instead, why not just hire the video camera and let different members of your wedding party take in turns filming the day. This way you will get a more personal perspective of your day and you guests will have fun in the process. You can then send the video off to the company that rents out the camera and they will make as many copies as you like for you and your guests to keep forever.
